Prof. Weibo Cai

Weibo Cai is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Radiology, Medical Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Wisconsin - Madison. He has authored >350 peer-reviewed articles (total citation: >30,000; h-index: 92). Dr. Cai has received many awards, including the EANM Springer Prize (2011 & 2013), American Cancer Society Research Scholar (2013-2017), Fellow of AIMBE (2018), Fellow of SNMMI (2019), and Fellow of RSC (2021). Dr. Cai is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Nanobiotechnology (IF 10.435) and Associate Editor of EJNMMI (IF 9.236). What Dr. Cai is most proud of is that his trainees at UW - Madison have received >130 awards to date (e.g. Berson-Yalow Award) and more than a dozen of Dr. Cai's trainees have started independent research groups at world-class universities (e.g. UW-Madison, Seoul National University, University of Utah, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University etc.).
