Seung-Wan Song

Dr. Song is a battery expert, in particular, on electrolyte and the SEI control. Song's recent work is focused on the development of nonflammable and flame-retarding organic liquid electrolytes for safe and high-energy density advanced lithium-ion batteries, and the control of electrode-electrolyte interfacial stability to mitigate the failure modes occurring under aggressive operation conditions (high-voltages, low-to-high temperatures, high-rates). She is the author of more than 110 refereed journal papers and 3 book chapters, and co-inventor of 61 inventions with patents issued or filed and 3 technology transfers. She is the recipient of 2021 Minister's Citation from Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea.
