Dr. Chong Fang
Professor of Chemistry, Oregon State University
Chong Fang is Professor of Chemistry at Oregon State University and also affiliated with the Department of Physics and Materials Science Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. He received dual B.S. (2001) in Chemical Physics and Applied Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and Ph.D. (2006) in Physical Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage of Prof. Robin M. Hochstrasser. After postdoctoral research with Prof. Richard A. Mathies at University of California, Berkeley (2007-2010), Dr. Fang joined Chemistry Faculty at Oregon State University in 2010. His current research focuses on developing ultrafast optical and vibrational spectroscopic toolsets to elucidate the structural dynamics governing molecular functions in materials and biological sciences with broad applications.
